- 1981 - MetroMark began its journey in 1981 manufacturing custom designed labels and graphic overlays for the OEM market based in the surrounding Minneapolis, Minnesota geographic area.
- 1986 - MetroMark enhanced its product line by introducing membrane switches. Upgrading our capabilities with a clean-room and UV curing has proven to be essential in manufacturing the most reliable membrane switches in the industry. Adding membrane switches to our product line expanded our market.
- 1990 - MetroMark pioneered silk-screen printed electroluminescent lighting (EL). We systematically developed the necessary quality, engineering and processing techniques to gain industry recognition as leading manufacturer of EL for the OEM, consumer and POP marketplace worldwide.
- 1996 - MetroMark recognized the advantages of high-speed laser cutting, as it applies to our industry, and joined forces with qualified sub-contractors to provide competitive pricing, close tolerance cutting and on-time delivery for our customers.
- 2000 - MetroMark identified digitally printed graphics as a growing need from customers. As a result, we qualified sub-contractors to provide this product to meet their specific design requirements.
- 2005 - MetroMark adds rubber keypads, copper-flex circuits and touch screens to its product line - reinforcing our commitment to our customer's needs.
- 2006 - MetroMark acquires high-speed laser cutting equipment. Our laser cutter will be utilized to give us total in-house control over soft-tooled options and supply cost effective solutions for our customers needs.
